TIM HUS
Tim Hus

Tim Hus is one of those guys that you can't help but like immediately when you meet him. What you might not realize at first though is that this lanky and affable songwriter has a keen eye for detail and a knack for the narrative. His songs are timeless.

The songs Tim sing are mainly about miners, loggers, farmers, railroaders, ranchers, cowboys, oil riggers, truck drivers, fishermen, gunfighters, bootleggers, brawlers, gamblers, drinkers, and low down two-bit songs-of-guns.

Some accomplishments include:

  • Opening for and Backing up Stompin' Tom Connors on his Canadian Tours 2009 & 2010.
  • 2nd Album released with Stony Plain Records (Same label as The Legendary Ian Tyson)
  • Wrote the song "Hurtin' Albertan" recorded by Corb Lund - The album went Gold

"I've been looking for 30 years for a young guy who's proud to write songs about our country. I'd like to pass the torch to Tim Hus"

"He may well be the ultimate in Canadiana songwriters"

- Canadian Cowboy Country Magazine

"Tim's awesome. He's one of my favorite Canadian songwriters. Nobody
captures the rough-and-ready frontier imagery better than him."
